I dream to have lived a fulfilled life.
To have created so much that it still gives me purpose when I’m old.
To have created life, hosted my children into this world, helped them grow up, given them a childhood worth remembering, and fought for and with them in life.
To see the fruits of my life — and the new branches growing from theirs, all together while sharing space and time.
As an old tree, I see myself… roots deep in the earth, branches reaching toward the sky, watching new growth emerge from my seeds.

I want to die knowing that my children have grown up, become independent men and women, full of life force, and have created their families and their children.
I want them to remember their father, grandfather, as a man who didn’t give a fuck about giving up. Who made too many mistakes but got it right when it mattered. A man who manifested his reality.
Someone who refused to give up on himself, on his family and friends. To remember a man full of life force and crazy enough to believe in his ideas :) Who loved, cared, and was passionate enough to never play it safe.
What a dream it would be, to give more than to take in this life.
What a dream would it be, for this old tree to see the fruits bearing their own fruits, growing and smiling back at him. Building unique relationships with grandchildren, special relationships that only a child with their grandfather can have.
“What beauty it would be, if they ask for advice and find shelter under my branches. What an adventure it would be, in my old days, to care about life through multiple parallel lives being lived in front of me, and be able to commit, help, support, share moments there.

But let me dream in this state just a bit more. What a dream would it be, to not be the only tree in the forest, but surrounded by others who weathered the same storms, whose roots intertwined with mine through the years. Friends who stood tall beside me through rain and wind, who shared the same sunshine moments. What a dream would it be, to be part of a forest worth looking up to, each tree with its own story, but all standing together.
What a dream is this beautiful life I’m creating.
Please God, do not take my soul until I have achieved old age and can live every day as a child with my children and their children :)
Please let me stay a little while, and have fun, get a bit crazy and create here and there :)
I dream of this dream everyday, since I dreamed it the first time.

Thank you Coldplay & Dick Van Dyke for being such an inspiration — for showing me that stars can fill the sky at any age, and that we can still dance at 98, reminding me that life force has no expiration date. And for giving me the courage to dream even further!
