Take up thy Cross, and follow me!

Distressed white stencil text reading "Live Dangerously" on a black background

The heaviest burden: “What, if some day or night, a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: ‘This life, as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more; and there will be nothing new in it, but every pain and every joy and every thought and sigh… must return to you — all in the same succession and sequence — even this spider and this moonlight between the trees and even this moment and I myself. The eternal hourglass of existence is turned over again and again — and you with it, speck of dust!

As Nietzsche lays this fundamentally simple question upon us, what would your reaction and answer be? How would you feel about this? How would you evaluate your life until this very moment?

Would you see this as a demonic doom in the eternal or would you want this life, exactly as it is, “once more and innumerable times more”?

It’s a question that forces you to evaluate your life deeply. It’s not just about accepting life but loving it so intensely that you’d choose it again and again.

A table of values hangs over every people. Behold it is the table of its overcoming; behold, it is the voice of its will to the power.

Will to power: divine grace => the concept of “self-overcoming” and transcending to the superhuman. The idea is that certain inner qualities elevate man above the rest of nature.

The Superman the man who is master of himself. But to master oneself is the hardest of all tasks, that which requires the greatest amount of power. He who can do it has experienced the greatest increase in power and if happiness is the feeling that power increases, that a resistance is overcome, the the Superman will be happiest man and, as such the meaning and justification of existence. Through continueal increase of the power to transmute the chaos of life into a continual self-overcoming of life and thus to experience in a ever greater degree the joy which is synonymous with this self-overcoming, that would be now the meaning of life, for as joy is the one thing that requires no justification, that it is its own justification. He who had attained that joy would affirm life and love it however much pain if contained, because he would know that all things are chained and entwined together and that everything is therefore a part of the whole which he must accept as a whole.

To be sure, only the superhuman could be so well-dispoed towards his life as to want it again and again forever, but that precisely is the reason for willing his creation.

No one has yet possessed this strength! There is a lake which one day denied it to itself to flow away and threw up a man at the place where it formerly flowed away. Since then this lake is risen higher and higher. Perhaps man will rise higher and higher from that time when he no longer does (the no value activities and sabotages himself) that what man of high value should do.

Sum, ergo cogito: cogito ergo sum
I am, therefore I think: I think, therefore I am.

We are astronauts of the spirit! All those brave birds which fly out into the distance, into the farthest distance — it is certain! Somewhere or other they will be unable to go on and will perch down on a mast or a bare cliff-face — and they will even be thankful for this miserable accommodation!

But who could venture to infer from that, that there was not an immense open space before them, that they had flown as far as they could fly! All our great teachers and predecessors have at last come to a stop… it will be the same with you and me!

But what does that matter to you and me! Other birds will fly farther!

Our unique path not only offers God one of many unlimited ways to experience himself through us, but it also lays the legacy we will leave our next generation. The saying “Standing on the shoulders of giants” is unquestionably the foundation of our children.

So where does this mighty longing draw us, this longing worth more to us than any pleasure?

I shall certainly have to live a few more years in order to become the exception of exceptions, the greatest that my bloodline has seen. I owe it not only to myself, but also to my ancestors, including my parents, who sacrificed so much pleasure to bring us this far, as well as to my children and future generations who will live after me.

For I have the gift of seeing a particular future as clearly as it could become; I also received the gift of seeing and cutting through the unworthy and manipulating psy-ops of this society, to live a dangerous life to become a man. A man who is willing to say the unpleasant truth and back it with deeds, to live with integrity. For this fight was always internal and is now more than ever.

Let us live a dangerous life, an antithesis to what the manipulators of this world tell us. Let us be grown-up men, high-value men, Supermen, men who push themselves to the limits of this reality, so it may be worth living again and again.
