Dear Marin
You hope I can sail with you forever. This sounds great, but I am not your eternal captain. God will always take our mentors just before we are ready to let us stand on our feet.
Maybe you are not ready to go alone, but you need to know that one of my highest goals was to give you an enhanced starting point in life and a horizon of a life worth living. As we always go further because we stand on the shoulders of Giants that lived before us, you will participate in this life through my achievements. My friends, my greatest gift to you will always be there to lead you towards your Angel of Destiny.
- Edison — The Joyboy who will be your best friend and teach you to preserve your childishness, acceptance, and love.
- Ilir — Your Leonardo da Vinci, who will give you clarity and advantages to conquer this world.
- Maxi — The wise general who is your rock in the waves, who will teach you how to endure and stay tall when life teaches you the hard lessons.
- Valon — Your Godfather, the Visionary who will expand your consciousness and horizons to teach you to fly higher than you ever thought was possible.
- Edon — The wise and courageous warrior who will lead you to greatness and crazy experiences.
- Erblin — Your safe shot, who will always be there for you no matter what.
All human beings are created equal, but this only applies in the context of law and rights. It has nothing to do with economic and cultural advantages. Your biggest asset in this life will never be the assets or opportunities before you but the fortress in your mind, which we will build together and fill with courage.
One of my biggest fears is that my achievements result in assets rather than consciousness. As in most cases, the status of the parents will determine the starting point of the children, it is also the biggest burden.
I once read that most great men were shitty fathers because they had to be great and invest all their energy in being successful in life but not in their families. On the other hand, I never met someone in my lifetime who grew up wealthy and nurtured himself enough to have my full respect. Maybe they exist, and I know they do, but I only dream of them so far. The combination of security and status mostly ends up in half-developed characters, as they miss out on the beauty of life by not facing do-or-die situations. The all-in mentality has to be lived to let the spirit settle in your fortress.
My duty as your father is to support and encourage you to embark on the great adventure of life. You will have to face life’s challenges by yourself, but never alone.
In this world, you can’t inherit wealth or poverty; the same goes for success or failure. The only truth is that you will succeed as long as you work hard enough. I believe that destiny is forged by action, not by origin.
Opportunities are unequal in this life, but the results are what matter. You need to maximize the results of your opportunities. Each victory brings more opportunities, and so does each failure. History is filled with privileged men who failed in life and poor people who succeeded. If you fail, fail by taking risks; if you succeed, succeed by taking risks and getting out of your comfort zone.
One generation to the other is a lifetime. The glory and success of the family cannot guarantee the future of its children and grandchildren. Like many successful families, their status leads to insufficient character-building for the next generation. Early advantages are helpful but don’t guarantee victory in the end. Rich kids have little opportunity to develop the skills they need for survival. The only reason I succeeded, or one of the main reasons, as you can’t generalize it in one sentence, is that I had no other choice in life than overdelivering for success.
The quickest way to harm someone is to give them money. It can make people corrupt, depraved, arrogant and cause them to lose their source of happiness. I cannot bury you, who I love unconditionally, with wealth and laziness with my own hands. Therefore, I created and laid on your path a system towards wealth.
A truly happy person is one who is able to enjoy his creation. I want to see you develop into a strong, self-reliant character and enjoy this marvellous life ahead, free and independent. I hope to be around long enough to see you face the challenges of greatness.
Marin, every move of yours will be of concern to me. However, compared to being concerned, I am more confident in you and believe in your excellent character. A character that is more valuable than any wealth in this world that will help you pave a good future and lead you to a successful and meaningful life.
The starting point will affect the outcome, but it doesn’t determine it. Your life has just begun, but a battle is before you. I can feel that you want to be the winner of this war, but you must know that everyone has the will to pursue victory, and only those who are determined and ready will win.
